Bob Essensa 1983-86 Home White #33 goalie.   Great jersey from a all-time great for the Spartans.  One of the 1986 National Championship goalie duo along with Norm Foster.   Jersey shows decent wear and exhibits a distinct fade pattern of jerseys from the 1986 NC team.  On career list,  sits 7th in total wins, 8th in games played, 7th is GAA, 4th in shutouts.   Research is still ongoing with this shirt to determine what years Essensa wore it.   Drafted by the Winnipeg Jets,  Essensa had a long pro career with stints in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Buffalo, Edmonton, Phoenix and Detroit.  (where, in my opinion,  he did not get a fair shake.)   Most recently a goalie coach with the Boston Bruins.
